Terminals or not!

Either method done right is fine. Doing either half assed is bad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

thanks guys.

i always crimp and solder my ring terminals on so im not sure what more i could do to make sure its done "right" except for cleaning up the terminals and making sure the the ring terminals are tightly bolted down.

if the connections are tight/secure the only other thing is trying to make it look good, which i seldom worry about. unless it's not my ride

lol thanks a lot bro.

I just ordered some knu set screw terminals.. I really like them. But.. I think both methods will be sufficient given it is done properly. as jco said, a lot of it is for show.

EDIT: there is at least one advantage of using set screw terminals at least IMO. you can run the whole wire and THEN put the terminals on rather than having to get the wire ready before hand.

I have said this before and I will say it again. There is nothing wrong with set screw terminals as long as you make sure they stay tight. I would prefer some Loctite or a similar compound to keep them from vibrating free. But to each his own.
