Terminal cups..........

Noticed on this forum a few pics of people's sub boxes...... It's funny to me where and how some are running their speaker wire. Some are sending it through the port, others drill a big f'n hole and send it in through there........

Here's what I recomend. Drill a small hole, just barely big enough for your speaker wire to fit through in the box. Preferably in an area of the box that isn't seen. If you've mounted your amps on the enclosure itself a good spot is right next to the amp for short unobtrusive cable runs.... Whatever, just do your best to hide it.

Once you've run your cable through the hole, put a whole mess of silicone on the hole on the inside of the enclosure. It it's not visually horrible, put some on the outside too............. Hope this helps some of you.

Or, just use one of those stupid terminal cups......

good luck

next... this is how your brush your teeth... first take you tooth brush in your left hand and place a small amount of toothpaste on the tooth brush it self. once you are finshed with that.................... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Yeah, how dare you post a thread like this, the board needs more room for more vs threads!!!111oneone11!

(if you do use terminal cups, for god's sake use the bolt-on type, not those cheesy push-in ones that don't seal at all)

Lastly, Im still unclear on the brushing your teeth thing, could you go a bit more in depth with a step-by-step of the process? I put the brush in my right hand to start, so your post just confuses me so.

Mine sealed up very well, on my old enclosure i tried getting one of them out to reuse it on my new enclosure. I couldnt get that son a b1tch to come out. I got really peed and took a hammer to it. The only parts that came off the enclosure was the middle part, the outside edges remained. I used wood glue and silicone to seal it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

terminal cups are the g@yness. whats even worse is running the wirw through the port. thats just janky imo.

i drill a hole that the wire can barely fit through, then seal it up using gorilla glue or something like it

Okay, If you read this thread and thought, "why would bean make such a ridiculous post?" then I apologize for the lack of sarcasm that comes through in a forum. Of course I know this post isn't necessary............ I just want people's sh!t to look good after all the work they put into their installs....

Pimp, thanks for agreeing with me.... terminal cups and "terminal ports" are mostly g@y

Lemans, it's not hard core

Jack Frost, it is one more "break" in the chain. Causes unnecesary resistance (you of all people)

Everyone else, stay tuned..................... tutorial on hair washing soon to come...... lather, rinse, repeat..

I don't worry about an extra thousandth of an ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If a terminal cup presents a major break in the chain as for as resistance goes, there's a problem with it.
