temperature effecting subs?

in air is warmer sound waves tavel "faster" and "longer" than in colder weather.

no the actual wave that travels faster..becuase that would change the hz...but yea...thats why is hits harder...becuase it actualy is.

Thermal dynamics...

The hotter an electrical component, the higher the resistance to the flow of electricity. When its cold outside, its better for your amp and voice coils because it allows the components to work harder without overheating.

As said above, sound waves travel faster in warmer temperature, however it will be close to unnoticeable.

The speed of sound is ~331 m/s @ 32*F, and ~347 m/s @ 80*F. This is a change of only 5%

I don't know about you but I never notice a difference between the winter and summer months of my system... A 5% difference in the speed of sound is more than likely negated by the increased efficiency of the electrical components of the system (Amps, wire, voice coil, etc)

simple chemistry, emelctricity flows faster and smoother when heated. just like it drains your battery 5 times faster in the summer that in winter when you initially start your car.

wtf are you smoking? Electricity flows with less resistance in a cold conductor... Also different types of batteries have capacitance issues in different temperatures (Lithium Ion batteries lose almost all of their charge when subjected to cold temperatures (sub 40*F)

I think he might be thinking of kinetic energy? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
