Tell me if I got this right please!!

So how big should I go with? I thought it seemed awful big also.
i would do no more than 3 cubes @ 30 and load the port off the passenger side sub forward on the passenger side.

Wow....out of all the experienced enclosure builders and in-the-know guys who can tell you how to build a perfect 46th order BP for any sub off the top of their head, nobody can even offer this guy a comment on his box/questions??
dats fukked up
ive been busy building you ***.

2.5-2.75ft^3 with a 30-32hz tuning should work well if you're firing the sub up/forward and firing the port towards the passenger side. Assuming you have enough power to bring the sub to it's xmax, I'd do a 12.5"x3" port to the side. Just cut the width down some so you have a good 4" between the box and passenger side panel. You'll be able to use a considerably smaller box than what you originally drew up.

So port and sub forward on the passenger side? Right now we have about twice the power the sub is rated for available.

And in flex's defense I think he is more a ********* than a ***, at least judging from his profile pic.

The only real problem with this is that the "side panel" is the side of the truck, just sheet metal. Should I make a mdf panel to fire the port into?

lol @ flex being pedo...

no sub on the drivers side facing forward. the sub loading off the passenger side facing the side panel of the truck.

I believe you meant port loading off the passenger side? I figured that out after ram's post, I can be a little slow. I will draw up some new plans, probably tomorrow.

I appreciate all the help, I ran out of thanks so I am giving likes instead.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Okay going by recommendations from you guys I've come up with a box that is 14" high, 48" wide, and 13.5" deep. I figure on a 12.5" x 3" port that is 33" long. Which yields 2.71 cubic feet and a tuning freq of 30.69, without sub displacement or any extra bracing. So when added it will raise the tuning freq a little but still be under the 32 hz.

I drew up this, the top is open in this view.

Should I put the port at the front or the back of the box or should I run it parallel to top/bottom instead of the sides? The way I have it the port is in the front, but then the sub is basically in the port, so that don't seem right. So what say yee men of higher knowledge than me? @CAT MAN @Buck @TaylorFade @RAM_Designs @pro\-rabbit

Also I should be about done bugging you guys on this one.

So that would make that view the bottom of the box. So put the sub as far to the driver side facing forward as possible?

Length, width or height?
more port area right now you are at 3 and some change for net volume depending on sub tuned at 29. you only have 12.10^2in of port area. can you make the box deeper?

1/2" deeper is all I can really go, but I can go up to 4" taller.

taller port wouldnt really help me here lol. im trying to keep your ratio down since you are tuning fairly low. just add .5 inches in width it will still be able to play the lows. but more efficient. if you could giv up more depth. i would do 12.5x4x35 on the port.

I will measure tomorrow and see if I can squeeze in 14.5". Now that I think about it without the box going up so high there should be several inches to play with.
