Nominal diameter should be what you measure with it sitting still, not stretched. When I did my car, I used mainly 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2". When it came time to wrap the big stuff, I used 3/4".

Make sure you get plenty of heat shrink, and I would use 3x over 2x.

I would look on diy for the posts for the guy on ebay. He is local to me and Barry is an excellent guy to deal with!!
