teach me about stocks and investments

now that general electric has the ear of obama in his administration, it might make sense to buy dirt cheap GE stock, then sell it right before november of 2012.

I am an asthmatic who cant live my life how I want because people decide polluting the air is more important than my health and their "rights"
I go to a bar with friends to have a drink or play in my dart league and dont harm anyone, yet some smoker 10 feet away, I dont know, endangers my health for no reason
You should move to Ohio.

We can't smoke here, and it is really annoying for us smokers.

non smoking hasnt reached green bay yet, but 45 minutes south in appleton it is smoke free, which is nice

other than being inconvenient, driving 45 minutes after a few drinks isnt exactly what i want to do

there is a local bar here that went smoke free about 6 months back and it just so happens it is a microbrewery so i spend a lot of time there. i know the GM and sales at the bar have not dropped off at all like so many smokers predict

not all bars lost business, but alot did in colorado. casinos seem to still be full. they went smoke free also.

some of the bars in colorado have a jar. put a couple bucks in it, and smoke away. the jar pays the fine when the bar gets caught. plus profit.
I'll have to suggest that at the few bars I regular.

Everyone said here that the smoking ban wouldn't hurt bars/restaurants/clubs however I know of 3 bars, 1 restaurant, and 2 bowling alleys who have been seriously hurt. One of the bowling alleys here in Cincinnati had to close its doors.

I am for business owner rights. I think that some bars should be non-smoking, if the owner wants to do that. They might attract a clientele like yourself who is looking for a smoke free environment. That might be big business for them.

I admit I don't smell smoke on my hands, cloths, breath, hair because I'm the one smoking. But I understand that some people have an issue with it and I can accept that. I don't smoke around my non smoking friends and if I do I go far enough away from them to not bother them. But, I still think outlawing smoking is a extreme idea and is just another way for government to force us into doing what some people want us to do.

Are Colorado's border states smoke free? Down here in Cincinnati I know a lot of people that just hop the border to Kentucky and smoke their hearts out. That is a big pain in the *** for me so I still go outside. But, I really don't find myself going to bars as much as I did in the past, especially when it is super cold out.

People that smoke generally smelll really bad imo. And it's worse because they don't even care how offensive their odor is to other people. If people want to smoke go right ahead but don't go around anyone who's trying to breath without inhaling your disgusting odor. I'm speaking purely from my personal experiences with this.

LOL! This is hilarious coming from a guy who has posted numerous times about how much he enjoys drinking and driving! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Since 1996 gold really has only had a return of 1.67%.

Personally I think you can do better.

Microsoft for example since 1996 has had a 8.22% return.

I'm not saying go out and buy Microsoft. But I am saying I doubt gold will do anything spectacular anytime soon.
