well i been hearing that it is a great time to buy stocks and start investing. well i dont have any idea about neither since i never bought stocks, cd, bonds, etc. I have $1000 to start off and dont know if that is enough. what are the risks and rewards and how would i get started?

i know theres some thing they teach where you only buy a certaqin cash amount each month or each time...so that if the stock goes up you dont spend too much and if its low u get a good amount..i suppose it all just evens out...i got books on it i just cant freaking rem...

However, that pretty much covers the basics.

I hate investments, probably my least favorite part of Finance.

if your parents are worth a shit they will help you or at least point you to a friend or co worker who can

Truth, but it is kind of obvious that a good majority of adults don't have a clue on the topic either.

This is just my opinion and I am no expert, Novice for that matter even. But my brother was trying to talk me into getting into the market a few months ago. He was talking about "bargains". And it is true, Smart people get rich during hard times. Not the good times.

But what we have going on isn't just a little old market correction. If we would have bought up those bank stocks he thought were so cheap we'd be butt hurt for sure right now.

I think there is a good possibility before it is all over there will be a lot of stocks not worth the paper they are printed on. Just like the big crash when people were jumping out the windows.

I am an asthmatic who cant live my life how I want because people decide polluting the air is more important than my health and their "rights"

I go to a bar with friends to have a drink or play in my dart league and dont harm anyone, yet some smoker 10 feet away, I dont know, endangers my health for no reason
