He's busy, what do you want.
In one week he got 8 separate orders. Some people forget that he's a one-man show. You're looking at getting 2 MAYBE 3 boxes done in a day (designed, cut, constructed, and finished) not to mention the time to make, cut, and mount the ports. And thats with him working the entire day, so he can't even ship the boxes out the same day.

The guy gets stuff done as fast as he can. You'll get your box, don't worry. And i'll let him know about this thread too.

People lose track. Mark has a system set up, when things get full, he tries as best as he can to get stuff done.

$300 for a sealed box...with holes in it for aeroports...what a joke. atleast with a slot ported box you got your moneys worth in particle board..

Do you know how much he paid? Nope.

Do you know how much the average box is, nope.

I'm not going to get into it here, but frankly, I've tested it.. and the pboard is just as loud as MDF, while holding the screws for the woofer in much much better... I prefer it greatly.

The PVC is *not* cheaper than the wood... it costs *more* to do a flared port, and it takes *more* time to make them... let alone mount them in the box, no screws, they are glued in for a cleaner look.

The prices are as low as they can be, and extremely competitive. Walk into best buy and see how much a Q logic box is... or go into a shop and ask how much a custom box is... your probably going to pay more and get less.

As far as the time for a box - I know things go relatively slow here, its just about as fast as I can build without goin nuts. Cutting assembling the box/making the ports/carpeting/mounting ports and giving everything ample time to dry takes time... especially when you have 20 boxes to build, lol.

That being said... I'm getting a copy of a lease for a shop not to far from here, which I'm very intersted in... if an agreement can be made things will be *greatly* sped up since there will be more space to work.

i'm not saying his boxes dont get loud(not the only thing that matters to me when it comes to my music, but whateva). i didn't know he built them with particle board. still they look like nice enlosures, although i have never heard one, so i cannot say if they are worth the wait or not.
