I did but it was a large gap of about 1-2cu ft. I was wondering if anyone had a setup that was tested and sounded good.

going larger will have the abilty to play lower, so go as large as you can 2cf stuffed with poly fill

I have my TC-1000 12" in a 1.4cf with about 1lb of poly and it hits hard and has amazing authority on the low notes. I'm running about 500 RMS to mine.

yeah that 2 cubes is way to much, I have a 12tc2+ which is the predescesor to the 1000, and I have it in 1.2 cu ft with a lb of polyfil. You don't want it too smal b/c it will be too punchy, but too big will make it sound sloppy. So you'll need a balance

I've found that TC's recommendations to produce a massive hump in the bass according to many design programs. Is this the general recommendation for "good" car audio bass?

That driver hits a Qtc of 0.7 in about 0.9cf, so honestly going above 1.2cf or so isn't really going to gain you very much.

Thanks! I did the install and enclosure myself.

My next project will be flush-mounting a Zeus 6006 and a BXi2006D into my tailgate and running a TC-3000 15" in a fiberglass enclosure I'm going to build into the side of the cargo area. Nice clean practicle install.

1.2 or so sounds about right to me.

For what it's worth I have 2 10's in 1.2 cuft and they get pretty low with authority which really suprised me. I have 600 RMS going into each.
