Yeah, sorry for another versus thread, but Ive settled it down to these 2 subwoofers. Ive searched everything I could on the Fi BL (with cooling options) and on the TC-3000 and needed a final answer in terms of SQL.

If I choose either, I will be giving the Fi BL power at 1ohms and/or the TC-3000 power at 1.4 ohms, and my amplifier ohm settings are at 1ohms is 1600watts RMS and 2ohm is 1100watts RMS (without impediance rise and other things of nature to decrease wattage).

So cliffnotes:

TC-3000 at 1.4ohms or Fi BL at 1ohms

Powering with: Hifonics BXi 1606D amp:

1ohms = 1600 watts RMS

2ohms = 1100 watts RMS

Box will be a 2.5 cu.ft. at 32hz, before displacement of sub.

What are your guys takes on either one of these subs?

Thanks, sorry for another versus thread for you guys to deal with. Its what this forums for, to help out. =]

what are you powering your tc-3000 with? i was thinking of getting a 3000 as well and powering it with the same amp. a 1606d. would this 1606d get the 3000 loud enough on only 1,100 watts? seeing that it would be a final load of 2ohm. until i get a second amp, or a bigger amp thats 1,500+ at 2ohms

well thats good to know because i talked myself out of getting it thinking i couldnt run the 3000 at 1 ohm. the op says you can run it at 1.4 ohm so thats roughly what, 1,300 watts? but i can wire the 3000 to 2 ohm correct? its a quad 2ohm voicecoil

either way... i could run the 3000 at 1.4 daily? if so i think im going to jump back on the 3000 train. that was my sub of choice until i made myself belive i couldnt power it with a single 1606d

Yeah, we can run it at 1.4ohms daily, just not below 1ohms or else the amplifier could have problems I believe.

Anybody else on opinions? BL or TC-3000? It seems more-so a TC-3000 judging by these posts. Any input is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks guys.

tc 3000. ill get one with you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif see who can get louder with the same sub/amp combo. a lil competition, hmm?

The amp will be running higher than 1.4ohms. That is the DC resistance and NOT the impedance when you put power to it. That's why they call it a Quad 2 ohm sub and not Quad 1.4ohm sub. The amp will run right around 2 ohms depending on the enclosure. You should still be fine sending the sub 900-1000 watts and it should be pretty loud.
