TC sounds selling used motors...cheap

anyone think its worth trying to pick up some 3hp's and reconing them by Fi?

something is really making me want to do this but i dont want to even try if its a lost cause. i have been searching this forum for a couple hours about info on the 3hp and tc3k. only real comparison i have found was that a couple people that have swapped from 15" xxx to 15" 3hp said the 3hp was a good bit louder in the same install.

of course i wouldnt have access to the 3hp recone (so i cant make a direct comparison if i would be using a FI recone etc). or maybe i would have access buy im not willing to pay 200+ for a recone (dont know the cost, just talkin about my limits)

i dont know, both offers i had lined up today went with 3hp motors, one went with 4 12"s i think and the other 2 15"s...they both said "im going with xxx from that post" one was on roe and one on here...

Unless these motor are previously assembled then I dont think I would trust them.. Since seeing that thread where the guys TC motor fell apart.

Looks to me like they are trying to scrounge up every last quarter in the couch cushion.

and i have seen numerous threads of people blowing fi woofers. does that mean they ****? no.. you are an idiot

especially since the motors are clearly labeled as used (i.e. previously assembled) and.. do you think tc built some tc9's just to build the oem 10's? no.. overstock motors. again. come back when you have a clue please
