so was that the problem all along or no??
No the problem was the sub was over extending from too much power, but that in itself is a problem because I didn't want to downgrade in the power handling department with this reconed you know?

It might've been the box though because it was tuned too high aparently. It's tuned to 32 hz and the sub was high passed at 28 which I thought was allright, but aparently it wasn't and the box would unload all the air and the sub overextended itself. I always thought you were supposed to set the high pass a couple hz lower then what the box is tuned to but I guess I was wrong. I'm gonna try and add some more to the box to make it be tuned to about 28hz but that's gonna be a b1tch and a half.

See that's what I thought. Everybody tells me something different lol. I'm gonna go mack some dinner and then me and my bro are heading down to TC to pick up the fixed Destroyer. Kyle and Thilo are gonna oversee the whole install and help me get it dialed in. I'll post up later tonite!

You better not mess up that loaner or i'll have to break your fingers off so you cant turn up the volume knob up anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It's not 40 miles, more like 40 minutes. Easier then dealing with customer service for RE I'll tell you that much. But yeah the cone cracked which really surprised me. At first I thought the surround popped off but it was the cone and me and my buddy were tripping the **** out. Especially cuz the music was pretty low when it started making the clinking sound after it cracked. But yeah I guess that cone has a crease in the top to make the surround glue on easier and they're gonna replace it with a black aluminum cone that doesn't have a crease in the metal so it's stronger. If you over extend the creased cone it starts to move back and forth like when you try and break a paperclip back and forth and then it finally snaps.

I gotta thank Kyle and Thilo for the help though, I mean they gave me a loner sub to have while they're fixing the Destroyer just in case it's not ready by Sunday for the grand opening. Now what other company can you name that will do that when they're reconing your sub?
that mabye becuase he didn't have to ship it out and that any other company could have had it done in say half an hour?????
