Before I go on all subs are new and never seen power. That being said these are some quality subs here guys so please no lowballing. All prices are shipped to lower 48.

First off is an 18'' TC Sounds LMS version 3.62 prototype, that's what it says on the build sheet. This is one of 4 made for Kyle Witherspoon in July of 2002. The following season he broke a world record with them on 12,000 watts . This is just one of his spares. This sub has quad 4 inch coils that read 1.4 ohm. Power handling is up to 5k daily, according Thilo . Efficiency is really good at 96.9db@ 1watt. I need to get $400 out this one firm.

Next up is a pair of 15'' Konaki/Nightshade hybrids. I bought these intending to throw 6000 on them but I heard Gmonks van and decided to go with more cone area, alot more:evil:. These were built with a longer nightshade coil and 4 stiff spiders and could handle upwards of 3000 watts. Only took one out of the box for pics. Asking $500 OBO.

Last up is a pair of new old stock Soundstream SPL170's. These have a 3 inch 4 layer high temp voice coil with 27mm XMAX! They could handle anywhere from 1000-1300 rms. What's nice about these is they only require 1 cu.ft sealed and 2 cu.ft ported. These are also very efficient, so you don't need alot of power with these either,96db@1 watt. The only imperfection is in the last pic, **** all screwdrivers:verymad:. These are perfect for someone trying to get loud on a budget. Ahead of their time if you ask me. Looking to get $250 OBO.

Not really looking for trades but............................I have an addiction:goodbad: so just let me know what you have and we'll see.

I never said they were any better or worse, I don't understand why selling a Konaki motor with Nightshade soft parts for $250 SHIPPED is an issue. Isn't the Konaki almost identical to a DD 9500 series motor? So for $250 you get a woofer that can compete with woofers twice the price. Either way it still handles 3000+ daily.FACT.
Thanks

Drew
I'm not dumping on your price OR sale.

The fact is, you described the woofer wrong. It's NOT a Nightshade hybrid... if anything it's a Konaki Hybrid. Just describe your item correctly... instead of trying to sell it as something it's not. You NEVER once said anything about it being a Konaki until someone else brought it up.

There's nothing wrong with the woofer, price, performance, parts. Just listing it as something it's not.

Uh durr.

nG

So they're NOT nightshades...
They are Konaki's...

nG
And that also is NOT an lms driver. its a standard 4hp. if you dont believe me.. cut it up. if it DOES have the lms coil, i will buy it immediatly, no questions asked, at your asking price. but its not........

do you have a clue as to anything you are selling? i dont believe you would purposfully misslead someone...

This doesn't make them necessarily any better/worse.
Whoop dee doo, it's a fucking generic 12 spoke basket that is made in china, a new coil, and spiders. I'm saying, for a fact these are far from being any form of a Nightshade.

That's pretty funny because the same person who built these uses the same parts on his $500 driver which looks identical. To say these are far from any form of Nightshade is moronic, these are probably the closest you can get to the Nightshade with out spending $500. When I started the thread I was in a hurry and failed to mention alot information, but when ever asked a question I answered it. Before you decided to post, it was already established that the motor was Konaki. You just had to be negative. This is why I don't post:( .

BTW, I wasn't knocking Sundown at all either. Jacob was great to deal with and uses the highest quality parts on all his woofers. These are the reasons why I had him do the recones.

Thanks, but no thanks

NO DREW. YOU ARE WRONG.

No nice way to put that. the motor is different. different slugs, with a different gap, different pole, top AND bottom plates. the basket is generic, so.. ya i guess it "shares that". the soft parts? wouldnt know. but i do know the totally different motors means that the ts will l be WAY off from a nightshade. by this logic- i buy a chevy with a blown motor. i put a ford 351 w in it. do i now have a ford vehicle? And FWIW- they do NOT look the same

The integral part that makes any subwoofer itself, is the motor. It's a konaki subwoofer, with beefed up soft parts.

Also, it's not like those soft parts are NIGHTSHADE softparts. They're soft parts that Jacob specified that he uses, but that does not make them unique to the Nightshade. I mean, spiders are spiders... some have different compliance than others, cones are cones... it's a pulp cone, coil is a beefier coil... but it still wasn't MADE for the motor...

Like I said, It's a reconed Konaki. NOT a Sundown of any kind.

By your reasoning, if Fi reconed it... it would be a FI. If Incriminator reconed it, it would be and Incriminator... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It's a Konaki. Good subwoofer, improved on even. But call it what it is, not what it's not.

Park, if you read the post, I stated that I had the build sheet from TC Sounds and they named the sub LMS version 3.62. It does look like a 4hp but the spec sheet says LMS. If it is a 4hp, than a brand new custom 18" 4hp isn't worth $400? If you wanted to PM me about the 18 ,fine, but when you come on my FS thread saying I have no clue about the stuff I'm selling is ****ing rude bro. Another reason why this site is a joke.

I did read it. and i never said it was a bad deal. however, dont want to see anyone buying this think they are getting an lms driver. they ARENT. thats all. if the site is a joke, have the post deleted, and dont come back. very simple man. And my offer stands. cut it open. its not an lms if it is, ill buy it. youve got nothing to lose.. right?

I am just stating what the build sheet title says. I don't know what coils are in it or if it's a 4hp. I agree it does look like a 4hp motor but I'm going on the build sheet from TC Sounds. Don't know what to tell you, I bought this sub 5 years ago thinking it was a 4hp and then I get a build sheet that says lms. Call it what you will.

You talk about the Konaki motor like it's garbage, .The Konaki motor is almost identical to a 95 series DD and has the soft parts from the nightshade that can handle 3000 watts daily. This sub will compete with the top dogs at half of the price.

I never said it was Sundown, I said that it was a nightshade hybrid, and forgot to mention that it was a Konaki motor. Figured it didn't matter when da box king stated they were konaki motors on the 2nd page. Would it stop your ****** from bleeding if I edited the post. It was already mentioned that they were Konaki, so why let the hurting inner child out?

If that doesn't sound ignorant,I don't know what does. I forgot to type one word and now parts are parts. You see, that's where you are wrong, spiders are not just spiders, cones are not just cones. There are so many different spider setups it's not funny, and Jacob uses one of the strongest cones I've seen. If The coil on the Nightshade was supposed to sound better than the btl.

If everyone gets the same Chinese crap then why are there so many successful companies out there. It's because of the all the different designs they have, not the parts, it's how they're put together.

I asked Jacob to build me two woofers that are capable of 150 decibels, sound decent, and handle 3000 watts daily. I'm going to put enough faith in him that these woofers are more than enough for someone wanting to spend $225 a woofer shipped.
