yeah thats th exact box I have now, be sure to use alot of liquid nails
my friend didnt put enough and it came apart

he put the same amount as you would on just a regular project.

this sub is beasty

Thats your 1st prob , ditch the liquid nails and use tite bond wood glue

You guys have any trouble with the component box shipping? I figured some people have fun putting the woofers together, others may find it annoying. Trying to get feedback.

Also the white powered on the rubber surround is simply out gassed CA (glue). It out gases up to about 2-3 days from application and we boxed and bag these right up rather quickly after assembly. The plastic bag prevents the gas from leaking out so it coats the woofer a little and you see it on the surround. Good news is that it comes right off. The best best way to clean the cone/surround is with Armor-All and a soft rag.

no trouble with assembly, was actually quite easy

I had a friend make the box, he usually makes cabinets and stuff so hes good with wood and was out of work at the time so I tried to give him some money....

Large sealed is KEY to lows....and I dont mean the "lows" that people talk about on this forum, Im talking about actual lows....

Yes, but not to large sealed or you will suffer in the top end.

hey guys can i have some insight?? i have a buddy looking at a dc lvl5 15inch, OR a pair lms-r 12's.

I KNOW I KNOW the subs are wayyyyyyyyyyyy different not really a comparison by any means.

he loves rap, and my lvl 5 GETS DOWN! but what could you offer him as insight for the new LMS-R

dual LMS would be alot more heatsinkinking and a much better motor topology. I'd rather have the LMS's for daily by far.

lol oops I spelled it wrong on accident. "heatsinking" is what I meant to put. You have more voice coils when you have 2 woofers vs one so they will stay cooler and not get hot. This helps in alot of ways.
