Thilo likes to call himself an engineer. This is not correct. Thilo failed out of UCSD. He does not have an engineering degree in any disipline, just a letter from the Dean of Engineering.

Thilo could afford that from the money he saved from putting substandard parts and crappy CA glue in his drivers. Hell, most of Ca.com was his R&D department, they got to test it for him and save him the cash.

Is there proof it was them who bankrupted TC? It doesn’t have to be the owners of a company who cause the bankruptcy.

If what they were doing was illegal do you think it would all be so public? As far as I know it’s not illegal unless they purposefully caused the bankruptcy so they could gain financially.

Is there any news with regards the restart?

Whomever ran the company (e.g. President, CEO, etc.) is ultimately responsible.

When a company files for bankruptcy, but does not go out of business, its no big secret what is happening. Suppliers and/or financial lenders whom TC Sounds owes money will be getting the shaft. Its a fairly common tactic for businesses riding on the edge. File for chapt 13, default on a bunch of financial obligations, legally, and then start back up again. Oh sure, its legal. But, is it ethical?
