So, I just bought an OEM10 and I am looking to load it into a small sealed box. I've build enclosures before this one, but many were a shot in the dark that coincidentally worked. I want to build this enclosure the right way this time, with no guessing.

Anyway, I was looking to build a sealed box with a rectangular shape, and then polyfill it because I would guess a rectangular box would be too big. I have taken a cube shaped box out of the picture as it would not go well with my CR-V's cargo area.

I need a box that will fit under this cover:

I was thinking of using Baltic Birch instead of MDF and bracing the insides as well as mounting the driver on a double baffle. But I just need to figure out the dimensions. Would I subtract the cubic properties of the OEM10 from the variable cubic dimensions of the box? And then reach a solution upon trial and error?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Specs:

- Qts 0.357

- Qes 0.400

- Qms 3.35

- Fs 30Hz

- Res 3.11 ohms

- Ls 4.0 mH

- Lp 6.26 mH

- Rp 9.9 ohms

- Dia 208mm

- Vas 19.3 liters

- Mms 224 grams

- Cms 119 um/N

- BL 18.35Tm

- Spl 83.3dB

Enclosure Recoomendations:

- Small Sealed: 0.3 cubic feet

- Large Sealed 0.6 cubic feet

- Ported: 0.5-0.6 cubic feet with a single 10″ or 12″ PR

all my luck lol. At least I was lucky enough to get the sub I wanted. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to build a box...

as long as the sealed box is sealed tight you cant really go wrong. Try going something like 10" high 14" wide and 10" deep. should get about .45 cf after displacement

I always liked that amplifier. Never snagged one up to run.

No problem. The Dayton ultimax is one of the better sounding sealed subs I’ve heard. I kinda want to try the 18 in my ride.
