i will admit when it was working it was a great sounding subwoofer.

but no matter the price it shouldn't fall apart during normal operation.

i have hope that i will get it all put back together and working again.

Did this unglue inside the box while it was in use? That is pretty messed up.

yeah it did, and the previous owner already talked to tc about it.

and decided to not send it back since they said it was most likely from "abuse"

so i am just going to fix it myself.

if i can finish machining the shim to realign the top plate i might get it glued back on tomorrow.

well there was 6 of them.

i had to take them out to get the basket/cone/VC off to fix the motor.

luckily with the frame they used it isn't that hard to unbolt it from the motor even when the cone is in place.

28mm xmax in a 10" sub for $125 used is a hard price to resist and i wanted one for a while until...

well there wasn't that much of it.and in spots it was still sticky.

so i immagine it was either bad glue or something else in the process went wrong.

why would anyone have to "stand up and defend" them? seriously. every one knew that is what they were, they still bought them. TC didn't try and hide the fact. It seriously sucks for magic man, but tc doesn't need any defending (plus it seems like tc sounds posted in this thread saying they would cover it.... I am honestly not on either side (as i would be incredibly PISSED if that happened to me), but come on now....
