how much more do I have to state it?
I wanted a recone kit similar to the IA DP soft parts (SPL oriented) for a stock TC9 on a 15" 12 spoke basket. They told me that they wouldnt do that (though they could) because it would be inferior to their new baskets with the 10" spiders and the yadda yadda yadda.

The TC9 isnt even tall enough to keep the coil in the gap moving forward and not hit the backplate moving backward before the cone/spider hit the basket.

There is no difference major in airflow, if there was I'd think the 12 spoke would win. Basically they wanted me to buy a more expensive basket and soft parts for no reason. That would be Bias.

On top of that, they have openely questioned other comapny's designs. They make good motors but they act like their designs are the only right ones.

How long ago did you call them, and whom did you talk to? Not that I want to get into this debate or anything, just curious. There was recently a MAJOR change in the heirachy within TC sounds and perhaps the person you talked to last wasnt in the position to offer you options as they should have. The main person who was throwing the company's ego around doesnt post here anymore.

Hey Chris, yes, but you don't want a 12-spoke. That basket was designedalmost 20 years ago and has almost no clearance under the suspension for

excursion, only tolerates a single 8" spider and there is no room to

space spiders if you wanted to add a second.
