The Driver is not even broken in yet, a few finger prints and 2 dings, one so tiny ya have to look closely at multiple angle to finally get a reflection to make it visible, the other is more noticeable but still only 1/4 in dimple from a nickel (5 cents) I tossed at the wife that was reflected on to the cone, I took photos all around and used light reflections to make things look as bad as I could.

Asking $875 shipped con-us. Way better than the new one (thicker more durable basket and better power handling (5K instead of 2K)

Up for offers, but no trades unless its Revo's/Eclipse 9102's/LM10D2 etc. 3HP only, LMS coil a plus. I would trade for a 3 Audiopulse LM10D2's and I'll cover shipping on the Ultra Con-US.

the new one???

No, this is the real one, the original, QCA top assembly, "beefy" basket, the new ones are cracking, my friend Brian bought a new 5400 and the basket cracked across the pilot holes for the bolts when it was tightened. hit up AVS forum for info, alot of down grades across the board (larger spiders on the LMS 5400) but less Xmax across the board (minus 5400) as well as less power handling. Revo went from 1500 to 1K, LMS from 1500 to 1K, Axis down to 1K, LMS down to 2K, Fs's up on everything other than the 5400, Vas almost doubled with the new spiders for the LMS 5400, the Qts on the 5100 dropped, LMS-R's Fs rose 12Hz?? IMHO, the new TC line-up = Fail Axis Xmax down from 30 to 26.5 and LMS-R's Xmax is 22.6 instead of 26mm.

Some of what you call "down grades" are not realy. I cant realy say anything about the baskets, untill I get a new one, but they look like identical castings from the pictures. The lower Xmax's aren't they just are rating them differently. Power handeling is the same idea, nothing changed to make them handle less power they are just rating them lower. How is lower qts bad, for that drivers application? Where are you getting all your specs, im a little confused? According to PE website LMSr's are 29.4mm where do you see 22.6? The Vas on the old 5400 was 220L new one is 240L how is that double? LMSr's fs are within 2hz of the Revo, where are you seeing a 12hz difference?

Qts issues addressed on AVS, My LMS 10 is 12Hz lower Fs than my REVO, LMS's should have a crazy low Fs, they until this run have always had good usable sub-harminc extension, the revo's, axis's, and epics are not good sealed enclosure subs, the f3 is too high and the roll-off to steep for my builds. Now the LMS-R's Q is down and Fs is up, no Xmax in the world (un-eq's can give that driver the beautiful response of a AP LM12D2 of a TC 4K 12. My friend Brian had a LMS basket crack under the pressure of the mounting screws pulling it to the basket.
