Ooook, I've been wanting to do this build for a while now and it finally came together with a lot of help from F3M4. It was my idea, his design and a serious joint effort on the construction. We sure had some fun building this one (as you can see in the pics). Lol.

He didn't even tell me the specs on the box. Lol. He handed me cutsheets and we got to work. If you want specs or need a design, look him up.

On to the pics....

F3MA clowning with the port. It's the first thing we put together. Startin' small. Lol.

I insisted on it being shallow, so the subs ended up being ******* tight inside the box. So tight in fact that we couldn't use the gaskets. Hence the caulk. I know it's a little ghetto.

Ready to get buttoned up.

F3M4 left a calling card inside the box. Yes, that's a Coors light cap.

Oh yeah, it's finished.

Here's a tip... When you are doing a build and it starts raining; don't forget that you left your amp sitting on the picnic table after an hour of cats and dogs. But if you do, garbage bag full of rice overnight seems to work. Lmao!

It would be nice if I cleaned up some of that junk in the trunk. If I would leave a system in there for more than a week, I wouldn't have to carry around all that wire and tools.

Lol, most of you probably just scrolled down for this pic so here it is....

Many, many thanks to Walter for all his help, but I'm gonna router those port edges when you aren't looking. Lol.

nice design but you may need more port dood. only a 144 at 62hz?
You are welcome to get an IS300, a pair of hdc3 10's and an RD2200 and try to beat that number, Sir. Lol. This ain't no CRX.

I was worried about too little port area at first too, but apparently any more area would have been a nightmare. It sounds really good too. It's really musical. It gets low, and at normal listening volume it peaks in the 30's, low 40's. It's just at wide open throttle that it starts resonating like a nnut @ 61.

Thanks to the other, more positive comments.

playing with the space in the rear sealed chamber probably would of got the score higher. or atleast dropped your resonant freq more. I mean honestly with that amount of power and those woofers you could be doing better numbers. but if you like it thats all that matters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

like I said nice design

This is the reason I sometimes think twice about posting TL scores. If you had seen my other build logs or numbers, you would know that I am moving in the right direction. Which is up. This car is a bish to get loud. I gained 3.5db today over an AQ spec, standard ported box and the same amp. Yay, me.

If you have a suggestion about chamber volumes, port area or tuning or anything else, I am all ears. Feel free to PM me any help or advice, but don't just say that I could be doing better numbers with the equipmet.
