he wasnt a cop.. was my stepdad he was a coal miner fro 25years, then the mine closed and he went to school to be a computer programmer and did that for 12-13 years. im 25, dude was my stepdad for 22 years tho so he was my dad just as much as my real father i dont have a single memory in life without him in it.

Damn bro. That is so close to how it is with me that its a bit spooky. I am 25 also. My real dad died when I was a year and a half old on Christmas Eve in a house fire that I was suppose to be at and my mom had went to the store that night. I don't have a single memory of my real father either. My mom got with my step dad when I was 3 1/2. So I have always called my step dad, my dad. So he has bee my dad for 22 years also. Never have I ever called him my step dad or by his name. He is such a good guy too. Im lucky to have a step dad that has done so much for me. So once he goes, heaven forbid, it will be the same as losing my father, because he is my father and I wouldn't know either way.

So although I don't know how it is to lose a dad like you, I have lost ALOT of people in the past 10 years, so sorry for your loss once again. Two of my best friends died in separate car accidents, my real dad's sister shot herself and then the other sister jumped out infront of a Semi.
