Where would I read about esoteric box designs such as this? And more advanced enclosure topics so I could better understand how that works?

Booo, it doesn't fit. It goes in but the trunk doesn't close all the way due to the swing arms hitting in the back when it goes down. Oh well, I'll put a different driver in this and keep it in my room more than likely. I guess it's time to start designing another one but with a little less depth this time haha.

Haha, I didn't forget to measure, I just couldn't measure with the trunk closed and that's where the problem is. I measured from the bottom of the swing arm but when the trunk is closed, part of that sticks out a few inches. It's just a matter of taking off about 2 inches of depth.

The project was well worth while though and I may take a JL w6ae and throw it in there and put it in my friend's rav4. If not, I'm putting the JL in replace of my DPL-10 as I really like the sound of this enclosure and the w6 models quite well in it.

No, the trunk is kind of oddly shaped. I'll take a picture or two of it in the next build log.

what's a rav6?

A typo haha. I had my mind on the w6 when typing.

I designed another enclosure that should definitely fit and should still give me what I'm looking for. I don't think it will be as loud but I definitely am not worried about that. I know my output desires could be filled with just one of these **** things.

It's going to be a straight transmission line with compression chamber and it will also be tapped (why the hell not, right?). It models up a little better than this one but without as much gain:

When I apply that FR curve to my Integra's interior transfer function (modeled in mathcad as a mass loaded transmission line), I get a flat response down to 15hz and a roll off above 75hz. Hopefully the trunk doesn't ruin that.

Took a quick and ghetto video showing the subs in motion. Camera mic sounds nasty as to be expected.
