taking paint off of plastic ??

its enamel on abs plastic. fender flares.
i put some paint on them a few yours ago and what to redo them. but cant paint over it as the paint is cracking.
i bought a salvaged motorcycle and restored it completely. I have had very good luck working with the stuff. just sand it off using 320 grit, then a 600 grity to smooth out the sand lines.

This is my expierience working with abs.

Every ABS fairing was cracked to **** all over, and new oem was WAY too much money. so, i pulled out a spent soldering iron tip, and used junk fairing pieces as filler as i melted/welded them solid again. couple pics here:

Then after a LOT of work, the paint job was complete.. paint took 9 hours straight waiting for flash time. A lot going on there. over all im happy with the outcome:

Edit: After you sand off the old paint, i assume you will use a primer for proper adhesion. this will also help fill the scratches left from the 600. also recommended to sand the primer lightly to help paint adhere better.

just re-read your OP and seen no sanding - grain pattern - my bad. how thick is it? maybe a delicate hand with a pressure washer and the right nozzel? pics??
