im thinking about taking some web design courses online. im just wondering if anyone here has taken any courses in general, and how was it. the site i may take the courses at is http://www.eclasses.org
i took a spanish and an algebra course online. It turned out to be way harder than i thought it would be. Once i got lost i was completely ****ed because you have to rely on yourself to get un-lost in the material.
Ive taken many online courses and all of them ended up being more work and harder than regular classes, and i agree once u get lost ur screwed most of the time.
Im taking classes through Western Governors University. Very easy and very affordable. Nationally and Regionally accredited so its no bull$hit. You take it in 6 month terms and its only $2500 every 6 months. No limit on the amount of classes you can take in those 6 months either. I will be getting my Bachelors of science in 2 years and my masters in 5.
i loved em bored at 2am go on do my work, just gotta find teachers that dont move too fast good thing about universities many teachers same class = teacher shopping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i took english 1 n 2 microcomp application, anatomy 1 n 2 algebra (all general ed credits)
Online classes are only as easy as you make it. If you are bad at doing things right away, then they are not for you. The classes I take are work at your own pace so theoretically you can get a true 4 year bachelors degree in 2 years. You have a "Mentor" assigned to you so if you ever have ?'s you just call them. It is very affordable, $2500 every 6 months. http://www.wgu.edu check them out.
I took a money and banking class online in college. Even with studying and the book right next to me during the tests those things were hard as hell. It was way more difficult than going to class. Maybe for an AA or a class or two online classes are ok, but the most enriching part about classes is the interaction that comes with a teacher. Especially at a graduate school level. I do not understand how people can get Phd's online //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
