Tablet as head unit

Planning on running the Dayton DSP in my vehicle, using an iPad mini in the dash as my head unit. I guess I have to use a Bluetooth dongle on that Dayton DSP if I want to connect via Bluetooth, or get an adapter that will connect the old fashioned way with rca connections. Im thinking I will connect via Bluetooth and just leave the iPad charger plugged in all the time to keep it charged. Am I going to lose sound quality supplying the audio signal this way? Not sure what options I will have on an EQ when using an iPad. Will I even need an EQ when using a DSP? The EQ on my phone works horribly when I connect to my home audio Bluetooth, but the home audio unit obviously doesnt have a DSP. Would the DSP completely make up for not having a decent EQ?
