I've got a Fully Loaded 18" Fi BTL in 7cuft @ 32hz and it's currently getting about 2000rms from a Planet Audio VX2200, but I can tell that sub isn't near to it's full potential and I want to give it some more power.

There's is a T30001BD that does 3000rms @ 1ohm available to me for just under $500 in great condition used with box and paperwork.

What's everyones opinion on the T30001BD?

What other amps would you recommend that can do 3000rms for under $500?

Here's the Specs on it:

you better check into that amp carefully..i dont know why someone would want to get rid of that big of an amp for that cheap even used
ya that is hella cheap man. test it out and make sure it works fine off ur electrical and nothing goes wrong with it. play it for a good 20 min full tilt with the guy before buying andmake sure the amp doesnt wig out. otherwise that is a HELLA nice price

I plan on testing it out. The selleris a 28 year old guy that lives in a really rich part of arziona where each home in his neighborhood is arounfd 1.5mil on up. He said he is just looking to get some cash fast and the amp was mostly for show, he bought it because it was the biggest one they had size wize. LOL he odesnt sound like he really knows much about car audio.

I'm coming prepared to his house this weekend to test it. I will hafta test it at 1/4 gain though since my electrical will not support this beast.

If I do buy it before I install it permantly into my ride I'm going to buy a 300amp alternator.

I talked to a guy at excesive amperage and said it would be about $490 for the alt that I want. Havnt contaced Ohio alts yet.

Yeah that price is awesome.

I'd also recommend the EA alternator. The guy is really easy to work with and the alternators are bullet proof. I have a 200 amp alternator from him and the thing powers my 1200wrms system without a flinch. I saw it peak over 100 amps of output at IDLE! They're awesome alternators.

Yes, Ive barely just began the research of HO alts. Irragi sounds good too from what I've heard. EA had that thread titled "Dont buy from excessive Amperage" LOL it was 14 pages I've yet to look it over all the way.

I'll let you guys know sunday/monday night if the amp works or not and if I bought it.
