Well you get a general idea....look around it gives you a idea on how much power the subs have....I'v never hurd a fi and i'm getting one cuz i seen alot of good videos and hurd lots of good reviews you tube is a great way to lissen to some subs that you'v never hurd or unsure about

how much power does he plan to run? Might also consider the SDC2.5 if it's a lower powered set up, so that's another vote for AQ...

If he's going to be sending them ~1000w or less, the sdc's would be a great choice...

T2 is a very over priced woofer for the output imho, the aq will own it in performance and price. I have seen more blown t2s in my time than i can shake a stick at. Not being biased just giving a honest opinion, I would always reccomend AQ, but even if you didnt go that route I would steer clear of the T2!

overpriced, yes, but theres nothing wrong with the design aspect that lets them "blow." Its rated at 1000 and will take 1000 watts of clean power all day long, more if you know what you're doing.

The RF T2 is an $800 JOKE.

Also, if he wants a 10"...forget the T2, they only come in 12's and 15's.

The T1 comes in a 10" though, but I would put a DD2510 or AQHDC2.5 side-by-side w/ a T1-10" any day of the week.

IMHO, RF has forgotten how to make subs.

see, my buddys an idiot and will get a sub taht he wont be able to power, then he'll clip the amp trying to power it and he'll F it up. I keep telling him to get 1 aq hd 10 and a aq1200d to power it......that combo is a sick deal....even offered to help design/build a custom enclosure but NO...he says "no im just gonna go to best buy or ultimate because then i can hear what it sounds like." I told him if hes gonna do that he might as well bring a bottle of lube, bend over, and get ready for penatration.....cause hes gonna get ***** on prices! So stubborn!

Bought lessons are the best kind.

Then when a local show comes up, you can get an HDC10 and an AQ1200 and stomp him into the ground.

I know....the funniest thing happened to me the other day when i went in. I was looking for a new fuse box....told him i was running 1200 rms....and they started laughing and saying i needed 2 batteries and 2 caps in the trunk along with a HO alt otherwise my lights would dimm. I laughed and said BIG 3, ever heard of it? Then i asked him if he wanted to see 1200 rms on stock electrical(+big 3) with NO dimming and he didnt think it was possible, but wouldnt come check it out.....P USSY

i know EVERYONE is gonna say AQ but i personally had a T2 (15") and even though it was rated @ 1000 RMS, i ran it at 1800RMS- 2K RMS daily and it took it like a champ and sounded good doing it! The only thing is, they put too much $$ and effort into the looks of the sub rather than performance, like AQ does. They are both great subs IMO, but the T2 will be more flashy if you do not mind spending the extra money for looks...

since when do subs have power
