take your amp for instance, the 600.1, rated at 600 watts, correct...so your 740 watts, 140 more than you bought. That's close to a 25% increase over rated power. Now the KX12001, rated at 1200 into a 1 ohm load, and the same 25% is close to 1500. And that's really close to what they do birthsheets. The poster has two L7 12's, both DVC 4, so there's the 1 ohm load. Perfect, 1500 divided by 1500 (or so) is 750 watts each...perfect.the 1200.1 only hits 1200wrms at 1 ohm.... your better off with something else.... btw my l7 is at 2ohm getting 740wrms (birth certificate figure) off a 600.1, i feel it could prolly take a bit more
