anything you can find on ebay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thats where you get the best price but when you take a chance you may be screwed over abotu 35-40 transactions on ebay i have lost about 100 bucks but saved like 1000. so ...... you take the risk....

well i want 2 twelve in subs for about 250 to 300.....i want an amp that will power themfor about 250....and a nice head unit for bout 150

which would be the best in each catigory

250? for subs how much space do you have? one pretty good sub for 250 ported with a pretty good amp 600-800 WRMS will hit pretty hard. and a older but pretty good HU you can find on ebay for abotu 80-150.

as for which is better

subs 1 RE audio 12" or 15" SX you can get this at http://www.reaudio.com

AMP hifonics BX1000d or BX1500D for abotu 250 on ebay

and as for the HU whatever you think looks best.

JBL would be a nice amp too for that price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the shivas are more of a SQ sub while the SX will get insanely loud mainly SPL with pretty good SQ.

He has a Nissian Pathfinder. He wants a good overall mix of SQ and SPL. He has never built a box before either so I think trying to build a ported enclosure for him would be pretty tough.

true true hmmm pathfinder the problem with the shivas is that they need alot of room(even sealed).

you can get 2 SE then from REaudio and seal them up then when you start thinking they are sounding wimpy you port them and get brand new subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But can he get two 12" SEs for under $300? I am like 99% sure he wanted to stay more mainstream companies. He was looking into a set of Type-Rs or a set of W3v2s.... Please do not flame him for wanting to stay mainstream but I think his mind his made on that decision.

RE8- $56

RE10- $66

RE12- $76

RE Comp- $165

SE10- $165

SE12- $185

SE15- $215

SX10- $260

SX12- $270

SX15- $290

SX18- $320

XXX10- $395

XXX12- $405

XXX15- $435

XXX18- $475

MT10- $445

MT12- $455

MT15- $485

MT18- $525

there is a $25 charge to upgrade the MT or XXX line to a quad or other voice coil configuration.

**** whered you find that and how? i searched google and the google here.

but i would get the two SE and save on the amp(IE Hifonics) and HU(pioneer).

it would be worth it.

Also a 15" SX would be worth it and sealed i hear they have a pretty good sq from some people.

I had the list on my computer from when I contacted them. I am pretty sure he wants to stay mainstream with the subs and stuff. He doesn't want to branch out into the internet brands, so can you guys suggest some mainstream subs to him for the price. ( I may be wrong but I am pretty sure that is how he feels. I will allow him to clarify that forsure).

alpine r's would be a good chioce. they can be had for 200 together.good sq and get pretty loud...that way he would save on a amp as well, cause the r's are 300 rms i think..or you can buy a big amp with the difference in money and leave headroom for future(bigger) installs..as for a h/u, pioneer makes some good cheap ones...you could look in classifieds or ebay for a used alpine w/ 4 v preouts..
