system advice help

i want to put a system in my 93 cavalier z24:

i probaly want to run just one subwoofer that is semi-powerful.

i would also need an amp and new 6x9 speakers for my rear deck.

my budget would be around 350-400$USD.

if anyone could let me know what they would run given these specifications, or should i just get 2 subs? i am completely new to this audio stuff.

get some boston 6x9's for the rear fill and some boston 6.5 comp sets for the front

get yourself 2 amps a comp amp and a sub amp

1 15 ported at about 30 hz with 1k watts should be fine

Where in baltimore you from?

Anyway like decipha said the boston should be fine. The max on your budget is $400? Are you going to be installing everything yourself? With the 1 15 i agree on that too. But for $400 you might spend that just on the sub and amp depending on what you get. Also do you already have an aftermarket head unit? If so what kind?

If your in baltimore i may have a setup you could buy... you would just need to buy the amp. I actually have two setups you could buy. Again subs only. I live between baltimore and D.C. Ohhh, i just realized that the boxes these are in prolly wouldn't fit in your car and if they did they would be like me and 0 trunk space. So to answer your question.

I personally like to do things in stages i.e. Subs, then front and rear factory replacements.

I would get a Decent 15" with a decent around 1kw amp.. that would probably put you right at $400 maybe $450 after you buy the wires for install.

I would then save up more money to invest in the front speakers.

You end up spending more money when you go cheap and buy something to just get by in my experience because after you install it you will more than likely be like "this is crap" and want to go out and buy more stuff
