SymbiLink Balanced Inputs?

Ok, thanks. I have some decent Phoenix Gold RCA's that I used before with no problems so I'll just try those out and go from there.

If he has no noise with a lower voltage unbalanced system (i.e. RCA's), he will gain nothing by going with Symbilink or a line driver/higher voltage. The higher voltage potentially lowers the noise floor and increases SNR.....but if it's already at inaudible levels, then the net result is a lot of $$ spent for zero audible benefit.

Again; It's all about noise. If you have none using RCA's, then call it a day as you will not improve upon it in any way with Symbilink or a line driver.
Well obviously. If you've got ZERO noise in your unbalanced, lower voltage (rca) system...you won't get even less noise going to a balanced higher voltage system.

Kinda hard to inprove on zero noise isn't it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

OP, the other guy is totally right. If you've got no noise now...then mission accomplished. No need to spend more cash.

I personally have found line drivers and the symbilink cable yielded less noise in my system compared with using the same amps and rca's.

If this isn't the case with your system, then save your money.

Some people believe that higher voltage signals and/or balanced signal transmissions hold some mystical benefits that cause them to in-and-of-themselves sound better.

So I was just clarifying, since I wasn't sure if the above is what you were trying to imply with the "Greater input strength yields cleaner sound" statement.
