Symantech Anti-Virus Or Internet Security

According to PCWorld, the best buy as far as anti-virus goes is BitDefender. They have a free version..
and its better than symantech? Cuz last time I tried free anti virus software it wouldnt catch the viruses automatically sometimes not even with the full scan. Norton is pretty good with both of those things.

I got NAV06 on ebay for like 25 and some change shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif happy w/ it as well.

so does anyone have any experience with Avast the free one? I think I might just buy the Norton one because I tried MCafee's trial and it kept freezing my computer for some reason...

I use Norton antivirus but NOT internet security. I have never had any problem with ANY viruses and I have cable modem internet and am always connected.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I didn't run an AV program for years because generally speaking you the user are generally at fault when it comes to getting a virus, I finally had to get it b/c my machine got setup as a zombie spammer machine via spyware... It's kind of like not needed to wear a condom if you not having *** and/or not screwing *****s...

In any case DO NOT buy the internet security package. It'll only cause you problems... get another AV program or just norton AV and switch to firefox/opera for a browser so you don't have to worry about spyware causing probs and you'll be fine....
