I ran my 12 LI up against Echo's 15 SX a while back. Kinda hard to came a comparision but he was really suprised with what the LI could do comapared to him. I had better SQ but he no doubt beat me in SPL. He had more power and higher tuned box. It would be really close call runing 12 on 12.

i dont even think you can compare the LI's to SX's considering they are twice the price and take 400+ more watts.

Now an SE vs. LI would be good head to head.

thats really intresting and nice to know. LI sounds like an awesome sub. you said you had better sq than him, im assuming its cause his box was tuned high like you said, but how high are we talkin about. suppesdly IA is not known for their sq but if you say you had better sq then thats awesome! id be willing to try a LI if i had more money lol.

My box is at 28Hz while Echo was running his at 35 I think. Funny, when I first heard of IA I heard they were just a pure SPL company. The more and more I found out about them the more and more I learnd that they had quite good SQ for the amount of SPL they can put out. EX: the DP is know for being one loud SOB right? Talking to Steve (bumpin Yoda) he said they have exceptional SQ for what they are. Unlike his old DD9515's. IA is more of a SQL company then the general thoughts of it being SPL. The LI is IA's SQ driver in essence. But it is not a little timid driver. Not even close.

You really can't compare two subs' SQ after only comparing them once with one in a 28hz box and the other in a 35hz box. Clearly the SQ deck was stacked in the LI's favor, wouldn't you say? Reverse roles, put the LI in a 35 hz box and the SX in a 28, the SX will most likely sound better.

The LIs are amazing subs. The guy who i bought my 15" DP from a while back tested some LI 10s vs some DD 9510s. They were run off of a fosgate T3000. The DD subs did a 150.4 and the amp was running 1/4 ohm. The LIs did 149.9 with the amp running 1 ohm...
