im gettin kinda sick of the deck i have right now- alpine 9805... i was wondering if i could just take the deck out and then say i get a clarion or pioneer or something... would it fit right in with like the wiring harness and stuff??

you would need a new wiring harness...

if you already have it installed using the factory universal harness (the one that plugs right onto your factory one, and then to your deck's harness, it'll be that much easier.

Why are you sick of your Alpine CDA-9805. I just came back from Tweeter and thought the system looked and sounded good.

Are you looking for something flashier?

The things I liked about the cda9805 were the volume knob, the simple display and the sound. I thought it was on par with the Eclipse in the same price range.

well.....u could get a 9807...u may think that looks better. and it has more feautures at a good price.

But for looks, one word, PIONEER but these also do a ****g good job in sounding well.

Isn't the 9807 basically the same thing except for color?

I was wondering something similar. Like i wanted to get a new 7600 pioneer, I have a pioneer deh-6500 now. Which is last years model. If i take out my old deck, Can i keep my Holder that holds the deck in place and keep the Wiring harness.

You would have to see if the wiring harness is the same. Odds are, it isnt.
