I've been upgrading my system piece by piece and I finally got the last piece of the puzzle and now my highs amp cuts out during a really loud part of a song. I guess I'll back up for a second and give you my system set up..........
Alpine CDA-9885 head unit
Autotek SS490.4 (highs amp)
Kenwood KFC-P708 6.5 + 1" components
Boston Acoustics S75 4 x 6 dash speakers
Alpine MRP-M850 (bass amp)
1 - 12" JL Audio w3v2 in sealed box
Visonik V8EQ 4 band parametric equalizer (7v)
Before, I had an older pioneer premier 660mp and it worked fine. The only thing I can figure is that the 4v outputs on the Alpine instead of the 2v outputs on the premier are making the problem. So what's my solution ? Lowering the gain on the Autotek ? Lowering the input level on the EQ ? Or just getting rid of the EQ all together ? With the extra power on the Alpine's outputs and it's unbelievable sound quality I may can live without it. So what do you guys think ?????? ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt he EQ and not miss it,
