switch from SD1500 to AQ1200 :(

OK, I just traded amps because my sundown 1500 was too long to fit under my passenger seat, safely. I was scared someone was going to kick a RCA and ruin it so I traded for an AQ1200...

The sundown put out 800 @ 2ohm and the AQ puts out (from what I read) approx 800 @ 2ohm...and the AQ sounds nothing like my Sundown. All my settings are the same on the HU, etc. It doesnt even really sound like I have a system. It does only on certain hrtz but I dont have the full effect like I did with the sundown. If I try and set the gain any higher, the red clipping light starts to blink. The gain is only @ approx 1/4 right now...

Can anyone lead me to the direction on whats going on here?

BTW - Im pushing a JL 12w6v2 w/ the AQ.

I was trying to trade my 1500 for a 1000d but noone posted up so I traded my 1500 for an AQ+cash

Why?I can't see that having any bearing on why his system sounds so different.

^^^Yea, but you would think the AQ would still push my sub...Seriously, it sounds like I have a freakin 200watt 8" woofer back there.

Ive messed with all settings on amp and can not get it to sound any better with it not clipping on me.

Are you sure your HU settings havent changed?

Sub wiring checked earlier today and its wired in 2ohm. HU has been checked about 30 times and no, it has no changed. I dont know what a vid is going to do...
