the color is actually a much darker color than the pictures i presented.... the flash really brightens the whole picture, especially that red

Good job not reading the post before asking a redundant question.
Ali, did you brace between where the two subs mount? There isn't much material left there to maintain rigidity, I would have considered a brace right there, or as close as possible.
