Not a fair comparison... if you were going to compare the two brands you would be better off to compare the larger SVR100 to the Optima G31. Here are the specs for each.

If both batts were tested for the exact same criteria you would see the diff... some battery companies change the terms (ie timebases/temps/etc.) to make their specs look more comparable. The SVR's are great batts... they can compete with any other batt that fits within the same footprint. Like I was saying, the SVR 100 is a much closer comparison than the SVR80...
