I just did a downfiring box in my 4Runner... I like it.... Also in my last install I made an amp rack that sat underneath the sub box and used QD terminals to connect the amp rack box to the sub box for power. That way if I wanted to use my cargo area I could d/c the subs in about 3 seconds and take the box out leaving only the 6" high amp rack still in the vehicle. No need to unhook wiring and my comps still worked.. Now I have the downfiring box and I haven't done anything in the way of an "amp rack"

new system, keep in mind it's double baffled the the space you see on the bottom baffle isn't an air leak. I didn't worry about getting it perfect because I'll carpet/vinyl it someday....
