Surround Sound Question.

My Kenwood DNX-9140 Nav HU has front and rear , left and right preouts? It also has a single center preout.

Is this for surround sound and if so what kind of speaker(s) should I use for this channel?

Also can I get a six channel amp for this setup or use a 4 channel and another two chanel amp for the center?

My Bass is already done.

its a 5.1 dts

just like your home theater.

alpine makes a single din center speaker

kenwood makes center speaker

both powered i belive

Ok so am almost understanding this. My question now is as I see it I can add the center channel speaker yes. But I dont really have anywhere I can put it up front. My HU is DD.

I have Components in the front doors.

I have Components in the rear deck.

All powered by a 4 channel amp.

Would it make since to add two center channel mid range speakers in the rear doors

and power them with a small two channel amp Or am I wasting my time here.

the pocket you have in the center would work fine

mercedes has a center channel up on the dash facing the windshield

center channel stays in the center ...

its mostly for speech and midrange sound effects.

oh I seemz to found a solution for yaws problem

the cute lil vents that you have 3 of on top of the indash.

the middle one looks like it was made for that center channel speaker

you only have 5.1 capable head unit
