So far the choices seem to be...

1. take it off

2. replace the worn out mirror with a new one

3. use silicone or glue at the joint to hold it in place.

keep a bottle of nitrogen in your car and set a nozzle to spay it continuously, thus freezing the metal parts and causing expansion. Problem solved.
If you can get that thing apart, add some tape or something to it.

Set it, super glue it, forget it.

Buy a new one. Mirror or car. whatever.

Install a back up cam with a 7" moniter in the dash. By pass it so its always "on"

Well I can't really get a different one cause the map lights are built into this one, I honestly don't think any other mirror would act any different. I get mad roof vibration.

I could glue the joints, but thats kinda permanent too, I want it to still be adjustable just not so loose at the ball joints.

Just stating that driving a cunt's car is going to have some drawbacks. Take it or leave it. I'd ask the girls in your town if they have the same problem with their Eclipses...maybe it's a common thing?
