I have an internal reg. on mine. Most of the time it sits between 15.3-15.6 at 2k rpm.

call me crazy but 15v and above a d3100 will start releasing gas....mazzasec is right man i'd crank it down a bit. i think you'll be fine sitting at upper 14's.
