Supporting Vendors

Alright, so I'm new here, but I was a little curious, and please excuse me if I'm breaking any rules. I wanted to know exactly what I had to do to become, and what it really means to be, a supporting vendor for the caraudio forums.
you're better off being a supporting vendor on caco

CACO was a waste of time and money for us. We got a lot more business from this forum. CACO is even worse when it comes to people expecting the world for pennies.
Interesting, I wonder if it's due to your main market being for SQ equipment? Seems like caco is mostly into SPL. Maybe something like diyma or other sound quality forums are better for your niche

Why do you say that? Do they have more traffic?
I don't say that with any real authority other than getting the feeling that caco is busier than here, like most business it depends on what you're selling and what your target niche is

In terms of web site ranking in the US, caraudio.com is at roughly 40,000 while CACO is at ~120,000. Caraudio.com is likely getting a lot more page views and is seen by search engines as a better authority site. As a vendor you still have to have a plan for doing something to attract buyers regardless of web traffic. Paying for a vendor forum is smart, but you have to put time into it. Notice how many vendor forums have minimal or no activity. I'm curious if those are paying off.

I know what you mean, which is why I'm not planning on diving into anything just yet. I'm still in the process of setting up and fixing other online tools we are using to increase sales, so as of right now I'm just getting a feel around for different forums and what they have to offer and what kind of feedback I get before I invest into any of them.

Yeah, I'm surprised this thread hasn't been ripped to hell yet.

I think this site gets more traffic than CACO on a regular basis. The thunderdome is great, although not as good as "The Pit".

CACO has much stricter rules, which can be good sometimes, but there is a lot of political "big brother" business going on there. They also have no sense of humor. Their off-topic section is garbage
