super tweets not sounding great?

So i went ahead and bought a pair of soundqubed super tweets just to play with since they are pretty inexpensive. Ive only played with them on my home theater system and they really dont sound good at all, the sound is really muffled and about all they sound decent on is dubstep music. It doesn't seem like they pick up vocals very well. I was wondering if it was because Im just playing with them on my home theater system and not able to tune anything? I realize these are by no means SQ tweeters but i thought they would be a little more crisp sounding. Is there anyway to make them sound real crisp for country and reggae music? Any feedback will be much appreciated, Thanks guys

Those tweets are rated for 4 ohm,not 8-16 ohm that a home unit shells out.More than likely not enough power and not crossed over correctly, and clipped, you may have possibly ruined them

Take a DMM and check the Ohm load..There is a tutorial on how to place the settings on a DMM(Digital Multimeter),and check,on YouTube, and even on here should be some information.

Yes sir..Hopefully they are alright, and you did not clip them/damage them..But they are rated at 4 ohm,and @ a certain HTZ as every speaker/sub is.Along with RMS ratings/specs
