So this is my first attempt in installing a super tweeter just throwing that out there.

Amp for Super Tweeter - Boss Audio NX1600.2
X Over - Soundstream MPQ-5XO

Amp for Subs - Boss Audio NXD3500
So I had my Ipod hooked up to the back of the Xover and a set of AV cables going from "front speakers" to the 1600Watt Amp, then to the amp via speaker wire. While a second set of AV cables going from the SUB output on the Xover to the 3500 Watt Amp, then to the 2 Subs via more speaker wire. Now i have worked with basic amp and speaker installation before but never had to use a crossover for a super tweeter. With all this after i had everything hooked up it sounded really loud and pretty nice but after about 4 hours of actual music play time over 3-5 days i heard a kinda loud pop from the super tweeter and it stopped working. I took apart the tweeter and the voice coil was smoked the copper coil was almost all black now and not a coil anymore kinda looked like a stretched out spring. I now want to put in 3 Selenium ST350 but i dont want to have this same problem recurring. So if anyone can help me of even give me a little feedback on where i went wrong it would be greatly appreciated.
