super noob.

i was thinking of doing something more simple.

like 2 12's or 2 15's on each side. than amp inbetween, that is if i can find an amp to power 2 15's that isnt rediculous in price

yeah unscrew all of the plastic crap and take it all out so you have more room.. then you can do 4 sick 8s sealed with aeroports facing up on about 1500 watts. this can be done in your price range and will sound sicknasty.

idk about finding 15s shallow enough to sound good with that space but im not sure at all. a ton of people on here have had gread luck with some sick 8s in their single cabs and they will give you great precision for the death metal. im listening to lamb of god right now and my type Rs arent quite as precise as the sealed 10s i was runnin.

If I were you, I wouldn't rule out a single 15". Single sub setups are much nicer than you probably think...

thanks ill check it out. im thinking that a 15 will be to much bass and will just over do the actual music. i think smaller subs might be better since im looking for all around loudness more than bass

dude, just go with the 8's. Does anyone have a picture of a blowthrough top view. so he can see the sealed configuration. put that in your cab standing up and have the porteither up or down. That would be sick. I listen to deathmetal often and the bass hits very hard and also goes way deep. so when you make this box it should be about max airspace per woffer sealed and the port is what I would tune. 45?

It would look like this inside....

yea i realize they can get loud but im saying that if im not using a system just for bass than theres no point in me getting such a big sub.

subzero- just clarifying. i have NO idea what your talking about lol

medford. but im not sure when im even starting the project. i still have to do a valve job and take apart the steering column first. so itll be a while. im just trying to figure out all the stuff before hand

eidt: also what would you guys suggest for speakers? im positive that stock ones wont do the job

you might wanna hit those guys up when you get a chance. its not every day that you get a n00bzor with a good budget and willing to learn without being a tard. some people on this site actually enjoy helping others out and you could benefit greatly. look into those DD 1508s as stated earlier, a single 15 wouldnt be too bad either. you can get a less powerful 15 and still get loud, sound good, and play teh lowz.
