ok so i am the epitome of a noob when it comes to audio. im looking to get 2 15's amp and tweeter. 1. not sure of the best company's. ive looked online and i see people swear by jl or alpine. 2. not sure how many watt amp i should get. this is going into a single row pick up truck. my idea was to put the subs under the seats, amp behind drivers seat and tweeter's in the doors. im positive im going to get negative feedback for being such a noob so bring it on.

id say 1000-1200 dollars

my goals are to be able to play music such as whitechapel,******* silence,the acacia strain.not rap/ hiphop where people usually aim for only bass. but i guess u could say im looking for a 50/50 on sound/bass.

i plan on installing with me/my father. id say hes acceptionally talented.he has a background in wiring boats and some cars.[thats what im aware of]

no real advice for you but I must say I am impressed with your budget! Most newbees come on here like "I want ot bust windows adn make peoples ears bleed and cause miscarriages adn shit..." then their budget is like $300 LOL...

what is the clearance under your seat? look for a couple shallow mount 10s and then find an amp that will give them the rated power of the subs.

as for speakers, what size is in their now

thats what im trying to not be. [im in highschool] im getting the truck for free from my grandfather,i was planning on spending like 4k-5k on a car/truck so since im not paying anything i thought that i should get a nice system. but yea back to the point, there so many kids at my highschool who are what you are talking about. shitty system and tehy think there hot shit cause there bumpin lilwayne or something. so i figured, y not blow them out of the water [hopefully] when i roll up blasting some death metal/death core.

once i go to his house again i will look and find all that out.i just found out taht im getting it last week so i havent checked [and remember i am supernoob]

EDIT: i remember my dad saying that it was very similar to an s10. its some type of mazda pick up but he said its almost the same truck. not sure if that helps with the specs of waht i could put in.like the seat clearance.

well if you are looking for shallow mounts my personal preference would would maybe like 2 or 3 mb quarts depending on the size of your truck for amp maybe a sundown audio or jlor i personally perfer powerbass and for tweeters um id just stick with speakers for now but if you want you can get the component set which would come with tweeters and speakers all in all it comes down to what you want no matter what anyone says on here if youve heard various subs before and like one or the other go with it becuase you have to listen to it

We really need to know the space limits of the truck though. But before you install anything get a alarm. Learned that the hard way growing up in Baltimore, very sad day

ok pull all that chit out and start measuring. I am thinking like six 8's sealed box made like you would in a blow through but instead have the front wall closest to the back of your seat clear plexi and have the port up. Or down. thats what I would do...
