I don't need one of these
Ok well I've been working on an install for a week now, doing a couple hours a day and thought I'd share some pics teaser style because I'm not done...

Big 3 Pics, I was flat out bored and waiting for the UPS man...

Sound deadning using SS Spectrum, notice the ceramic space heater... it was about 55 so I ran a extension cord out, sealed up the windows and created my own heat... it was prob 80-90deg inside

The IDW's, sitting, plotting, awaiting install

Thinking about the speaker pods... 4Runners have 4" speakers in the dash... ugg.. this is my door panel out of the car and ready to begin fiberglassing

I made it deep in case I wanted to put different drivers in... but I think I'll make new ones next time...

Fiberglassing started... I should have just used 1/4" ply as the backing but ohh well... it's done now

It was still 50's and raining outside so I'd throw a layer of FG on outside (protected from rain) then bring it inside to my downstairs bathroom where I had the heater going full blast to cure the fiberglass asap....

This is the speaker pods w/o sanding but with bondo on them.... I used Spectrum inside just because... hell it might even be counter-productive but WTF??? I dunno it seemed like a good idea

Ohh and the box is done... it's ENORMOUS but I don't have pics.... I'll get some in the next couple days

next time, use thinner material on the doorpods and it will wrap much eaiser, then just like 3 layers of 8oz chop matt and your all done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i hope those idw's get a good home. if not ill kill you. i have IDQ15's. about as close as one can be. but mine are installd and they are IB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

An 8cu ft box is as good a home as I could make for them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and as for thinner material I hear you. That fleece was way too thick... it's my first fiberglassing though so I learned alot...
