Run active with your 880.......

Maybe a set of AA poly mids ($80) and some LPG tweets ($90).......comes in quite a bit under your budget too.....

run tweets off the deck?
I am not fmailier wiht your headunit model //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
its the pioneer deh880prs

but i dont think i have the knowledge to properly run an active setup......so any suggestions on comps err whaa??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Best way to learn is to do it.........Ive never ran a decent front stage at all, closest I came was a set of RE comps shittily installed, for a couple days.

You would need a small tweet amp, or a 4 channel. Or, you could try the tweets off your deck, might be enough power for them.......

anyone???......what do u guys think about the boston pro's off of 125 watts rms??
That will work...remember they are 3 ohm speakers so you will have about 33% more power to work with.

I second the active move knowing that you have such a capable HU. If you go that route the choices become nearly limitless...which may only add to your frustration!!

Best comp set for $250 IMO is the OZ Audio Matrix Elites...if you can find them for that.

I have $10 via PayPal if someone can find a thread where Slick doesn't recommend Rainbow speakers!!!

And to answer your question about which are better the Pro's or OZ....it's impossible without defining 'better'. The OZ's where in an install which received a perfect score in a sound off competition.
