Does anybody else find this obsession over and virtual worship of a bunch of guys playing a game with an inflatable ball a little childish and ****-erotic?

My most memorable time was as a sophomore in highschool. Our coach would join us in the shower room after practice and whip us with towels playfully. Oh wait...
